My
techique/philosophy:
I am a broadly trained clinical
psychologist working with individuals or couples in a format that emphasizes changes in
thinking, behavior and relationships.
I am able to provide EMDR (eye movement desensitation and reprocessing) to assist
clients through the therapy process.
Therapy begins with assessment, consisting of one or two sessions of interview;
psychological testing and referral for medical testing are available, where indicated. If
we are in agreement that we can conduct a good working relationship, a treatment plan and
therapy contract will be developed to guide our work and serve as a structure for
evaluating progress. |
Treatment is
individualized, depending on the presenting problems, and clients can expect the
following:
- information on healthy sexual functioning
- feedback on factors which may be interfering with sexual function
- home assignments, designed to support positive change and which address the dimensions
of body, mind and spirit.
- confidentiality and respect.I have been a daily practitioner of tai chi for health and relaxation for
18 years, and am certified to teach a Yang style short form. Daily health practices
nurture and support sexual functioning.
